Clearances

As a volunteer organization, we are obligated to ensure the safety of our Scouts.  Through both the Boy Scouts of America and Our Lady of Grace, we are required to ensure all parent volunteers in certain leadership positions obtain the following certifications: 

• Youth Protection - required every year.  Click here to take this free online course.
• Pennsylvania State Police Clearance for volunteers (free)
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance for volunteers (free)
• Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report – PDE ($27) Note: Volunteers who have been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years or more may sign a disclosure statement in lieu of the FBI report; this disclosure statement is free. 
• BSA Position-Specific Online Training (free)
