Weekend Camping
As a Pack, we offer free fall and spring camping weekends at local Boy Scout camping sites. While you may bring your own tent, indoor lodging and plumbing is provided to all. This is a great introduction to camping. We encourage all family members, including siblings, to attend.
We also offer a special overnight camping event each year to a fun and educational location. Previous overnights have been held at the Good Zoo at Ogelbay, the Consol Energy Park (home of the Washington Wild Things), the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, and the Carnegie Science Center.
FYI...If your an Arrow of Light cub scout and going on a weekend trip with a Boy Scout troop, here is a good packing list checklist. Just use your judgement on what is needed as not everything is needed (e.g. camera!). But use this for the clothing suggestions. A scout is always prepared!
