Winter and Summer Camping
Camping is the quintessential Cub Scout experience!
A winter camping weekend, Winterfest, is held at Heritage Reservation each year in January or February. Heritage is hosted by the Boy Scouts of America and our local council. It's located in the Laurel Highlands near Nemacolin Woodlands. This camping weekend includes Packs from many districts, and it is designed for both the Cub Scout and his parent to attend. Winter activities include snowshoeing, broomball, sled riding, cross-country skiing, and many others.
Mulit-day summer camping is also available at Heritage in June and July. Boys go from station to station each day doing activities such as archery, swimming, biking, hiking, fishing, and more. You will stay in a Boy Scout style tent that is on a platform with the rest of our Pack. All meals will be served to you in the dining hall, and you will have a schedule to follow each day. In addition, we all eat as a camp in the mess hall with songs, skits, and fun!
Additionally, both overnight and day camps are available during the summer at a variety of regional Scout camps.
